Background of the Upazila Administration

During the time of the Gaur Sultan, the south region of Chandradvipa governed two penitansadars. One of their names was Reza Khan, Reza Khan was the head of the region.

 

In 1920, Reza Khan set up the head office in the region. The name of this place was named Ranjha Pur. Rajapura later named Rajapur. In 1937, police station was established in Rajapur. In 1983, Rajapur Thana Manar started administrative activities as the upazila thana, and upazila was formed in 1985.
