In this upazila weaving industry has occupied a significant place in the economy. Many people of this upazila are working for the work of the house. Lungi, towel and sarees are the main products of this tart. Even today, the towel of Jhalakathi Tate is particularly well-known in the capital Dhaka.

From long distances, people come to Jhalokati Sadar in the summer to buy cool patti. Those who make up the rails are called Patikar. The owners of Anjal occupy a very important place in business.
